Two of my stage plays are published by Concord Theatricals (formerly Samuel French), who should be contacted by any theatre company interested in putting on productions of either play. Concord can also supply copies of the texts. Click here.
THE SCOTTISH PLAY is a comedy about an obsessive amateur director’s production of Macbeth. It was originally a BBC radio play (‘a gem’ – Mark Lawson, The Times), and the stage version has been seen in nearly a hundred productions around the world.
PRIMULA THE NON-SHEEPDOG AND THE GREAT GREY WOLF is a play for children, about the machinations of a little dog to protect a flock of bolshie sheep from the local wolf. It’s popular with amateur groups, especially in Scotland.
Two more of my radio plays have been broadcast: A BUMP IN THE ROAD by the BBC and on German radio, and HANS ACROSS THE SEA in South Africa.
My other writings include a children’s musical, THE END OF YELLOW ( premiered by Teddington Theatre Club in 1985); a stage play entitled OVER THE BRIDGE; a novella-length ghost story, THE MOONSHINE BALL; and a couple of (so far unpublished) novels for young adults, BRAINHOPPER and THE HARLICOMBE GRUYTZL.
